The autumnal hues break the solemn bleakness of grey, Forcing me to shudder a sigh, And to laugh and to cry, And to cry a cry into the cracks in the pavement� Cracks which soundly echo my mountains of content, Shimmering royal purples against the blackboard green That is the horizon of my mind. Effortless, the corners turn of this book of a road, Each turn mimics a change in heart Of a young man. As the reds and yellows fall dead from such heights as life, I wonder why the hopeless romantic (In every sense of the word) Cannot manage to tread water in a dirty bathtub, Let alone support himself in a world Of such criticism

i am alone with the game

Alone. Sitting alone. Others drift past, Unaware they are playing The game. It is unlike any other. The players, All competing for individual prizes; Never knowing what's ahead, Or what's next. Armed only with life, We all strive to win The game. How is it that I comprehend the full depth of the game? I am not held in the restraint Of the truth. I do not play The game. Simply, I observe, Deceit, lies, treachery. All participants slowly spiral downwards Until the give in to The game. There are no runners-up. Only winners and losers, But ultimately only losers, Until there is but one to remain, Alone.

We often sat together, Either deep in thought or conversation. Often we would wonder where we were going, Or what we would do once we got there. Never really knowing the path we would take, Until we started walking. You have already walked your path, And completed your journey. So now I sit alone, Deep in thought. I remember the times our paths crossed, Converged, And even split. The times we shared, Full of laughter and tears, And everything in between. Now I must trust you arrived safely. Looking over our pool of memories, I know you did. For I have faith. A faith on the water.

Hey, this is totally cool! I've been getting a lot of attention lately, and I am really loving it!
